Modems and VoIP Adapters are constantly being upgraded and service providers issue new ones for their customers.

If your cable provider upgrades you to a new modem / VoIP adapter, you may discover that the VoicePro starts having problems. 

Our page on VoIP Issues lists compatible modem/adapters, but that list is becoming old. There are many new units on the market now, and in all likelihood the new ones have resolved the issues we noticed a few years ago.
